RHODE ACQUIRED FOR $1B BY E.L.F
Finally a blockbuster M&A in beauty. As I am writing this at 5am on Thursday, E.L.F stock is up 13 (!!!) percent in pre market trading. This is an amazing deal for an extremely young company that only started 3 years ago.
Interestingly, it seems like almost every M&A this year in CPG has been influencer driven. Poppi, Alani Nu, Rhode, Raw Nutrition.
